Match Report: 2nd XV vs SK Walmers

After the positives taken out from the Hammies match the 2nd team went into their match full of confidence. This showed as the team dominated the opening stages, but could not turn the dominance into points. They would pay the price as SK Walmers took the the lead by means of a penalty. Villagers got a penalty of their own late in the 1st half as the teams went into half time at 3 all.

The second half started in the same manner as the 1st half with us not able to put away our chances. Half way through the second half SK scored a well worked try to go 8-3 up and put the home side under a lot of pressure. With 10 minutes to go we managed to convert a penalty of our own to take the score to 8-6. The team then showed a lot of composure under immense pressure and with 1 minutes left on the clock the forwards managed to win us a penalty which Reece Greg converted, to earn the team a win.

Well done to the players for showing great character and composure to win under such pressure.
