Villager FC has recently acquired a brand new gym for its players underneath the bar area in the old conference room, commonly known to members as the ‘dungeon’, as part of the new changes occurring at Brookside in preparation for the 2014 season.
Keith Power, pictured left, has entered in an agreement with the club to run his practice in the old conference room for the benefit of the clubs playing and social members as well as provide a personal training facility to the public.
The new facility is available for free to Villager FC players, however only to those who have paid up memberships with the club. As a special offer to Villager FC social members, those who have paid their subs are entitled to a 10% discount! For outside members the facility is available for personal training only.
Keith, a born and bred Zimbabwean, was educated at Falcon College and holds a diploma in Sports Management as well as Personal Training and Sports Conditioning for Athletes from ETA. Keith comes in with good experience having previously worked at 360 Specialized Training as well as being an intern at Western Province Rugby and the Stormers in 2013. He joins the club as the conditioning coach for the 2014 season.
The gym is open daily from 6am – 8pm.
