A well drilled home side met the boys from Brookside in their second round fixture against False Bay.
Topping the table and in search of vital points to cement their place at the summit of the table, the home side came out guns blazing. An error ridden first half from Village, culminated in the home side leading comfortably at the break.
The second half could not have been more different from the first. Playing as a unit the team began to get the ascendancy and pressurise the opposition into mistakes. Capitalising on these mistakes the Vikings were able to cross the whitewash on three occasions. Most notably the follow up try from Adrian Padua after some neat work from Ryan Grant and Vusi Kolisi down the short side.
Going down by six tries to three, the interesting stat is, four of the opposition tries were conceded directly from our missed touch kicks. An enjoyable game whereby the boys proved their ability to play attractive try scoring rugby.
Scorers: Tries: Daniel Searle, Adrian Padua and Nick Martin.
