The inaugaral Villager School Old Boys’ Sevens took place last night (Thursday 1 September) at Brookside. Old boys from Rondebosch Boys, Wynberg Boys, SACS and Bishops participated for the Nick Trophy on a perfect night for sevens rugby.
The tournament was a resounding success and will go from strength to strength in the ensuing years. The aftermatch trophy presentation and clubhouse festivities were enjoyed by all and there was much fun-filled banter between the old boys of the four schools.
The league standings after the six completed matches were as follows: Fourth – SACS, Third – RBHS, Second – Bishops, First – Wynberg Boys. The final match of the evening was a cracker between Wynberg Boys and Bishops which was so well reffed by Jonathan Kaplan.
